Minden
Recreation Complex
Minden is home to one of the best public
recreation complexes in Louisiana. The $8 million Minden Recreation
Complex features a gymnasium with basketball courts, exercise rooms,
meeting rooms, walking track and a heated exercise/aerobic lap pool.
Outdoors is a large
swimming pool, children's water playground, four basketball courts, two
enclosed racquetball courts, four tennis courts, 18 softball/baseball
fields, one soccer field, one football field, an outdoor walking trail
and six restroom/concession/announcer buildings. The Recreation Complex
is located off of Industrial Drive (I-20 Service Road) and encompasses
more than 150 acres.
Membership
is free and open to everyone; however, a photo identification card must
be obtained and presented to use Recreation Complex facilities. For more

Springhill Community Center
Offers a swimming pool, tennis courts, softball and
baseball field, basketball court and other community recreational
activities. The large pool is open to the public daily during the summer
and is within walking distance of downtown and the Frank Anthony RV
Park.
Civic Centers and Community Houses
Minden
Community House
The Minden Community House is located on Bridwell
Street off Park Highway and may be rented for community and/or personal
activities such as family reunions. The Community House will seat 150
people comfortably and includes a kitchen. For more information, call

Minden
Civic Center
The Minden Civic Center, 520 Broadway, is the
location of several annual community events, including the St. Jude
Telethon and the Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce Banquet. The
public may rent the convention assembly room for special events, which
includes a stage and fully equipped kitchen. The assembly room capacity
for staged events is 1,300 persons and 800 for banquets. For more

Springhill Civic Center
Large and
small rooms available to rent for your reunions, meetings or
conventions. Full service kitchen and banquet facilities located in the

Piney Woods Palace

Spring
Theater
Owners Adam and Kelli Harris, want to extend a
warm welcome to all of Springhill, as well as residents of the
surrounding area, to visit the SPRING THEATRE, which has the
largest movie screen in Louisiana with the exception of the IMAX at
SciPort.
The Spring Theater ,which had been closed
for 15 years, is now open with great movies for the entire family.
It is located in the historic district of downtown Springhill. The
theater shows first run movies seven days a week. There is only
one movie shown each night. The movie begins at 7:30 p.m.
Admission prices will be $5 for adults,
$4 for children three through eleven. For our senior citizens, we
have a special admission price of $2.50 on Mondays only. We invite
anyone age 50 or over to come and enjoy a movie with your friends.
The concession stand offers reasonably
priced refreshments, including all your favorites, such as theater
popcorn, candy and drinks.
In addition to a good movie and
refreshments, you will meet some of the greatest people in the world.
